FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
How should I dress?
Dress comfortably. Some worshippers wear their "Sunday best," while others wear more casual clothes.
What do I need to bring with me?
You can bring your Bible if you have one, but we have projection screens that make it easy for you to follow along.
When should I arrive?
We suggest you arrive 10 minutes before the 9:30 am Sunday morning service. This gives you time to hang up your coat and be seated in the sanctuary. You're welcome to come earlier if you would like to pray or visit beforehand.
Can I bring my children with me?
Yes, children are welcome; they are a very special part of our family. If necessary there is a room in the back of the church if your children get restless or need changing where you can view the sanctuary . Speakers are in the room so that you can listen to the service.
Do I need to sign anything?
Your presence is quite enough for us. We do like to collect some basic information from people in our guest registry, but if you'd prefer not to, that's all right with us.
Can I commune at your church?
You can take part in communion if you are a confirmed member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. If you don't fall into this category, we ask if you talk to the Pastor first about communion.
How do I become a member?
Being baptized at Zion automatically makes one a member of our Church.
Adult members and families may transfer their membership to Zion from other Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregations.
Non-LCMS Christians may join Zion after completing our "Adult Information Class," where adults review the basics of the Christian faith. At this time, those who are new Christians will be baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.
